The fries were hot out of the fryer and the sauce on the sandwich was properly spicy. Not too hot to spoil it, but spicy enough to help all the flavors shine. There are other sandwich places and I even go to a few of them. However, when I want the best, I go see Curtis and his crew at Gaetano's. Still a legend! ”

“ Awesome sandwich shop. I've stopped in during lunch a couple times and the same person took my order. I wish I knew their name but she has been really awesome. Not over the top or anything just really a pro, efficient, friendly without being fake, knowledgeable. Just really made me feel comfortable even when I wasn't super familiar with the menu. First time I went I ordered two Chicago Dogs. I figured that based on the price these were going to be small hotdogs, so that's why I ordered two. They are LARGE hotdogs. They use the same 10" sandwich rolls for the dogs and the hotdog fills the bun. The ingredients were really good and I left with a bonus dog for later. I've also had the Italian Sub and I really liked it. I think I'd need to tweak it a bit to fit my taste better, but as they serve it it is great. Again I ended up eating half of it and taking the other half to eat later. Don't hesitate to stop by! ”

“ I have been eating at Grinders 13 for as long as I can remember. So you can imagine when I moved back to salt lake, after 5 years away, and found that it no longer existed, I was pretty letdown. I was very happy to find that it still exists as Gaetano's but was weary that any rebranding might have meant a change to their sandwiches. “ I. love. Gaetano's. I'm so passionate about this little sandwich shop and I want everyone to come here. It was formerly called Grinders 13, and they relatively recently went through a renovation and name change - maybe in the past year or so? I honestly can't even remember how recently that change happened. The sandwiches here are incredible. I go back and forth between their veggie burger sub and their herbivore sub. Every sandwich is so full of flavor and delicious. I wish I could make sandwiches this good at home, but alas, I can't, so I just spend all my money at Gaetano's. Let's break down the sandwiches here. The bread: one of the most important parts. Their grinder rolls are perfectly soft, but not too soft, and delicious. They don't cut up your mouth like the crustier/harder bread does. The sandwich fillings are always perfectly seasoned and pack with flavor. Mayo? Got it. If you ask for mustard, it's Dijon (the best mustard in my opinion), salt/pepper/maybe some garlic? I don't know, but whatever they're doing, they better keep doing it. They have two sizes - small and large. The small is always plenty for me, but get a large if you're extra hungry. The veggies are always fresh and delicious. Tomatoes always juice. Veggie burger always perfectly cooked. Their fries are good as well, and I've even had them delivered before and they've maintained their deliciousness and crispiness during delivery. ”
